Meet the Telfords

The Telford family has been farming in Peterborough County, just north of the city on Chemong Road, for five generations.

The family farm purchased in 1908, is operated by Wayne Telford and his son Mike and is aptly titled ‘MiWay Farms’. These farmers are busy not only toiling the land, but also with their cow-calf operation. Cattle are raised and finished on the land and farm, fed by pasture and finished with the corn and hay silage harvested from the farm.

When not farming, you may find these active members of the Peterborough Cattlemens’ promoting Kawartha Choice beef at the annual Cattlemens’ BBQ held the Civic Holiday Sunday, or waving in the Canada Day Parade.
